Tractor will run for 40 to 60 minutes then die will not start?

New 6 volt battery, new points and condenser, new plugs?

Getting plenty of fuel to carb.

Can pull start it?

After running for 15 minutes or so shut off and will not start back up?

After is runs for 15 minutes it won't restart. This could be a bad coil that fails when it gets warm. Also a bad coil may be why it is hard starting. After it has ran for 15 minutes , shut it down and feel the coil , if it is too hot to touch its bad. Pour cold water over the coil and if the tractor fires up you jnow the coil is the culprit.

Is not the coil inside the same box the distributor is so pour water over the coil is a bit hard and might not prove to much maybe. Not much of a ford guy in the old tractors. Never was around them. Only a few in the close by and we had an H and D-4 Cat when I was a young kid. Then a Massy-Harris 44 traded for an 830 Case gas then added an MD my 806 diesel and a 930 diesel later a 4166.

the coil on a 9N fastens directly to the top of the distributor (whose cap faces sideways, not up.) i wouldn't pour water on it.
