Help adjusting throttle linkage on 1949 Ford 8N

I have just about finished a restoration on my 1949 Ford 8N. I'm sure there are some good step-by-step instructions on setting/adjusting the throttle linkage to the carburetor. Currently (after putting everything back together) my throttle at about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way across the throttle plate is still at idle. Wide-open on the throttle plate may give me almost 1/2 power. Can someone give me step-by-step tips on the best way to adjust the slack out of my upper or lower throttle linkage arms?
Thank you in advance,
James

The rod going to the governor should start to mov just after the hand lever on the dash is moved. The governor lever should be fully to its stop when the hand lever is fully open. A rod or link may be bent (or un bent where it should be bent) to get that far out of whack. Jim
