Short Thresheree Safety Video....

Just a short one for you folks. This video shows why you need to pay attention to your surroundings at shows & pretty much anywhere. That stripped
belt ply almost took me out & a lady & her two youngsters that were walking around the back of the thresher. Fortunately, I stopped them & they turned
around before the belt really let loose. The kid in the grain box was safe too. That ply's trajectory was linear & the sides kept it from reaching
into the wagon.

Stuff can happen quick. The signs of trouble were there early, but its hard to notice them sometimes with everything else going on.

Brothers in our neighborhood used their thresher into the 1960's. Son of one of them was fiddling with belt dressing and got run through the pulley on the thresher and thrown into the side of the machine. His uncle picked him up and bounced him until he started breathing again. But the guy was never the same after that. They quit using the thresher at that time - I saw it sell in the late 1970's to a collector.
