looking to find good used steering wheel for IH 450 splined shaft.

This site sells new ones for $52.00 Why buy used at that price? By the time someone removes a used one it may be in questionable shape.

The thing about those steering wheels is that the plastic was very prone to cracking especially around the center hub. I bet you have one that is a fine example of what I am talking about, but I could be wrong. So finding a good used one is probably going to be a tough task. Now that I said that 3 people will probably chime in offering you a good one. If that does not pan out the the hosts of this forum have a reproduction one for sale for $52 plus $15 shipping. See the link, the IH part number is 366557R1 you can see it is listed in the details of the part. I suppose you could get one from CNHI for a little under $300 if you really feel like lining their pockets. In addition if you need the center cover you will double the cost. Click the ..TRACTOR PARTS.. box above and click your way down to the 450 parts to see the options available. You have to scroll nearly all the way down to find the steering parts section. Have any luck on figuring out the wiring?

I agree. No sense in stepping over dollars to chase pennies. There is nothing wrong with a reproduction steering wheel, and the cost difference is going to be minimal.
