Is there a name plate on it, serial number on plate? Probably about 1948. VAC CASE
Subtract 4 from serial number to get date of manufacture

There is a bit of the case eagle on the left side if you look hard.

I noticed that too. And can barely see CASE to left of exhaust pipe. Can see remains of the stripes
to the right of it.
I know it a vac case. I grew up with one. Prob about a 1948 to 52

Also, there should be a VAC and serial number stamped into the casting right where the two
sectionsclutch housing and crankcase joinright behind the air cleaner. There is on my SC CASE
and DC CASE..
I amazes me when someone at a tractor show claims that a case tractor is a certain year.they have
changed the serial number plate. Yet they dont know that this serial number is stamped there.
That had better be the same number! Subtract 4 from the last digit and will give year of
manufacture

Oooops! I AM WRONG! Subtract from the FIRST TWO digits. Sorry.
example:
Serial no. 4838021. Equates to. 48-4=. 1944

( had not thought about this for a while).
