The picture of the Ford tractor swimming in the lake, a couple of days ago, made me think of this one. A County Super 4 made by County Commercial Cars was used in a publicity stunt, in 1961, to promote sales of this modification for use in wet countries and very marshy areas. The tractor included flotation tanks and special hollow wheels with rice tyres and was driven across the English Channel from France to England, where, on arrival, was put straight to work on a plough.

The tractor was driven by the late David Tapp, one of the directors of County Commercial Cars.

Well the innerds and outternerds are both above water and diesels have no ignition parts to worry about as long as the vehicle weighs more than it's displacement weight it'll work.
