4020 clutch recommendations

I have a 1969 side control diesel 4020 synchro. Looking to put a new flywheel and clutch on it. Has anyone used a Fort Wayne driveline brand reman clutch kit? Tractor is still used regularly for farm work such as baling, planting, and lighter tillage. Is it worth the extra $450 for the Kevlar clutch disks?

I have used Fort Wayne Clutch with good results. That being said, I would use a factory clutch disc, re-face the flywheel, if required, and adjust the presurre plate fingers. It will be much smoother when engaging and you will be happy with it.

I used ft Wayne for my clutch. Went with regular disks. Think it was on here if you aren't using a loader all day on it the factory are smoother. Kevlar will get jumpy. They send alignment tool and return label for the core.

I put a lot of clutches in here,,everything works out better when you go with a new flywheel and fiber clutch disc,,who knows how many times the flywheel has been turned in the past 50 years,,when they are turned too many times the cover does not seat to the flywheel well and the pressure plate can bottom out in the radius of the inside of the flywheel,, this will restrict the pressure put on the disc. I have flywheels stacked up like fire wood out back...

Not worth the extra cost.. Use the money for a new flywheel.. Stay with a fiber clutch disk... Is your pressure plate springs and disk surface OK ????
