One Fall Dad bought one that was rough like that but running. We drove it home. He and I (I was probably 12) got the engine into the basement and he overhauled it. We used it mainly as a mower with a Woods belly mower. It also got to pull our manure spreader and pull a two-section rotary hoe.

At one point after the overhaul, he replaced the magneto with a distributor from an Allis Chalmers parts tractor.

That didn't come from NC did it? I recall one of those from my past that as far back as I recall never ever had but one front wheel mounted. The owner had a pole saw mounted on the front.
