I HOPE SOMEONE CAN TELL ME WHAT YEAR FORD AND OR NEW HOLLAND MODELS HAVE THE SAME EXACT CASTING AS MY 1995 FORD 2120 HAS, THIS ONE HAS CAST PIN BOSSES TOP AND BOTTOM . BOTTOM ONES ARE USED TO HOLD THE THREE POINT LIFT ARMS. I HAVE A CUSTOM BUILT DEVICE THAT REQUIRES A TRACTOR WITH THE SAME REAR END CONFIGURATION, THANKS,

Hello horn welcome to YT! What type of ..custom made
device.. are we talking about? That seems like a pretty
tall order that it has to be the exact casting or shall we
say part number. What happened to the tractor it was
on, or are you looking to upgrade?

I HOPE THAT THIS IS WHAT Iam SUPPOSED TO DO. I HAVE A LARGE BACKHOE W/ CAB TO CLEAN IRRIGATION DITCHES ON OUR RANCH BUT WHERE THE DITCH RUNS CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE BACK HOE THROUGH THE TREES, ETC. I BOUGHT A SMALL BACKHOE FOR A KUBOTA TRACTOR (8" BUCKET BUT WILL ACCEPT A 12"). IT IS NOT A 3 PT MOUNT AND I KNOW THAT 3 PT MOUNT BACKHOES DO NOT WORK VERY WELL. I BUILT A 200# WELDMENT TO ATTACH THE ATTACHMENT TO THE TRACTOR USING THE PINS ON THE REAR END. I HAVE USED THIS FOR SEVERAL YEARS I VARIOUS PLACES THAT I CAN NOT GET THE LARGER BACKHOE IN. IT HAS WORKED EXTREMELY WELL. THE PROBLEM IS IT DOES TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO REMOVE THE 3 PT ARMS, USING MY CAR HOIST TO DO THE HEAVY WORK TO ATTACH THE REST. I AM TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER FORD TRACTOR WITH THE SAME CONFIQURATION TO PERMENTLY USE.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy another 3 pt tractor.

[THATS THE POINT, THE EXISTING 2120 IS USED FOR MANY PURPOSES, I WANT TO FIND ANOTHER FORD TRACTOR THAT THE WELDMENT WILL FIT AND I WILL,JUST LEAVE THE BACKHOE ON ALL THE TIME. I WANT TO WIDEN MY SEARCH TO BEYOND JUST A 2120 FROM THE EXAT YEAR I HAVE . THANKS[/quote]

Website called tractordata dot com shows it as made by Shibaura.
A gray market deealer might know what Shibaura models were the same. No promises, though.
The Ford 1920 and 2120 were in the same Ford family.

Just guessing, but it might be a lot easier to redesign your 200lb weldment to fit another tractor.

If you go to the New Holland parts
website and look up the casting number
you can click on the part number and
scroll down on the page that comes up and
there will be a link to click on that
will bring up a list of what other
machines use that part number. SADLY,
this only works if FIAT hasn't
discontinued the part and removed the
part number from the on-line parts
catalog. I'm not going to try to navigate
all that to look, will try when I get to
my computer later.

A quick perusal of the parts book suggests the 1920 and 2120 are different... so I would say that the 2120 may be your only
option. The newer TC models appear to be different.
I would modify the weldment you have....

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFO. THE 2120 SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY FORD OR NEW HOLLAND THAT HAS THE PIN CASTINGS TOP AND BOTTOM. I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE TOP ONES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE USED FOR. MAYBE MOVING THE 3 PT BARS TO THE TOP??? I WAS TRYING TO FIND A MORE REASONABLY PRICED TRACTOR THAN THE 2120 BUT I MAY HAVE TO JUST BITR THE BULLET. THE STUFF OUT THERE IS JUNK AND THE WANT WHAT I PAID FOR MINE NEW.
