420 cat backhoe was not cooling at high
rpms.pressures were good up to around 1600
rpm.then at 2100 it would drop to 7 or 8 on the low
side.mechanic added Freon until it came up to 13-
14,all good now!
 
Not a tractor but: The AC in my '04 F250 would cool on MAX but not keep the cab cool on the regular setting. I took it in and the AC is OK. It's the fan clutch not engaging and cooling the condenser down enough. I knew the clutch was acting up but never connected that to the AC issue. I guess the good news is I knew the fan clutch was going to have to be replaced anyway but I don't have to have the AC replaced/repaired too.
