I have never used or seen anyone use a kicker. Heard about them though. How heavy are those bales as the bales we used to make were 65-85 lbs. seems to me that machine must have some amazing sporting throw a bale that heavy.

Before kicker bales at heaviest were 45 pounds. Could not have draged a bale as heavy as yours at the 65 pounds let alone the 85 pounds. Wanted them at 35 pounds so we could handle them.

We dont make a long or heavy bale. Shorter bale holds its shape better and everyone can handle the lighter bales easier.

Our neighbor had a wire tie baler with a kicker - it seemed like he would make them as heavy as he could - in thick alfalfa we would be unloading 90 pound bales. Hated working with/for him.

Must've been one of those Deere throwers. The IH and NH throwers could only do about 45-50lbs and still get them to the rear of a 16' wagon.
