Wish I lived in Kansas where the fields are a half mile long and flat. I just finished about 30 acres on hillsides where the bales roll to the gullies if you don't go to the top of the hill to discharge the baler. Raked with a Farmall M with no power steering. Ellis

I m in Ky also, finished a 15 acre field Friday. Best crop of hay but worst field
Sometimes I can backup and turn the baler and drop the bale out but other times you just have to pull out of the windrow and find a place to dump the bale
Had one 4x5 bale flop over twice before stopping on its side, another rolled into the bushes at the edge of the field, usually have one or two do that each time I bale that field
This time one bale found a clear path and went about 200 ft down into the woods, I ve never seen deer eat on round bales in my area but it s there if they want it

Get all to roll to the bottom of the hill that way they will stay on the wagon . Load in the valley . Ever watch the Swiss bale hay ?

I used to bale a farm so steep I had to get more power to tie while going to the top to park the bale. Had one 4 1/2 x 4 foot roll end over end 150 yds into a lake. I will bale my own now and not deal with customers wanting the best hay for the least price and free delivery.
