Massey 135 questions

I work at a sports ground that has a Massey 135 6 speed and have a few questions!

Firstly what does the pedal do behind your foot on the break pedal side?

Secondly where is the pto controls located?

Many thanks,
Oli

The pedal is most likely the differential lock.
PTO is probably a lever on the side of the transmission case opposite side of the brakes.
I'm sure others will verify and/or correct me.

Hello 9 lives welcome to YT! I can help you out with the
pedal behind the brakes, that is the differential lock.
Your tractor PTO has a 2 stage clutch. Which means
the upper part of pedal movement releases the
machine drive clutch for the transmission gears. The
lower part of the stroke will disengage the PTO. So this
gives the tractor a ..live.. PTO. So when the PTO is
engaged and you are moving in gear you can push the
clutch down part way to stop tractor motion but the
PTO will continue to be driven. I am attaching a link to
another recent post I had remembered where a link
was posted to an Operating Manual for a 135, on page
23 of the manual or 32 of the reader this is explained.
The reader of the sight the manual is hosted on is a
little clunky but works. You can also choose to
download the manual.

The rear pedal is the diff lock pedal, DO NOT engage it if one rear wheel is stopped with other turning or damage will occur. The 135 had three PTO drive choices when
built. Trans driven PTO, hydraulic clutch PTO, and two stage flywheel clutch PTO. The hydraulic PTO clutch lever has off/on with no ground drive PTO. The trans drive and
two stage clutch have off, engine, and ground drive PTO choices. Which design tractor was built with needs to be known so correct engagement can be used.

Hi everyone!!!

Got the lever I was looking for to stop the pto, as I didn t want anyones hands being taken off!! And thanks for the info on the diff pedal!!
