Raking hay, who wants to come drive tractor?

Take your pick of the John Deere 3010s. The uglier one, Tom went through and tightened up the linkages, so it shifts like new, and it has the Walter Squires seat spring, so it rides nicer for us guys who carry a lot of tools in our pockets

Since I retired my 2520 with the new high back seat from field work, I've decided someone else should get to enjoy it. I could
bring that along, BUT, I avoid hay like the plague, as I'm allergic to grass pollen.

I'll Rake for you if you come rake for me.
The farm I worked on in South Carolina had
2 2520d tractors that cut, raked and baled
enough hay for 300 jersey cows every year.
All of it in small square bales. They were
nice tractors for that.

I would like to, but I would have to be trained to use the rake. The last time I raked hay it was with a converter, horse pull dump rake to a
tractor pull. Stan

Well in that case I, um, um, don't know
how to drive a 3010. I've put a lot of
hours on a 4010 but never driven a 3010.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

IF I came I would have to bring my own rake it will rake 2 single swaths into to single windrows at once. You could leave the other tractor to pull the loaded wagons with.
