My report back on the 1974 International Harvester model 674 tractor. engine swamp a 239-diesel engine bought from Waters Tractor, LLC was a good investment. I should have cone it this way years ago. instead of thinking that I good use the old parts out of the blown engine I had. So buy a bare block from All State Ag Parts. which I had to say it was not a good deal. That bare block is in one of the pictures I add to this page. you can be the judge of it too. I have to say thinking about buying a used diesel engine made me worry about calling and do this last deal. Now I got the diesel engine 239 took the pan off and looked at the rod bearings which look good. I feel better on the deal. Going to button it up and put it on the tractor. I have to say thanks for referring me to call this tractor place and checking on diesel engines. So far it looked like a good investment to do. The price of the engine and shipping it to me was less than 4,000. I am posting picture of the tractor when I got with the blown block. the rusty dirty engine block that was bought bare from All state tractor parts, and the new /used engine we bought from Waters tractor.
