TaskMaster TM424D tractor

A guy wants to sell me this TaskMaster. I guess it won't start and has a steering piston problem he says. Are these pretty good tractors or problem childs? He says he wants 2000 for it

Can be fun to tinker with.

Not quality made, it is a generic container shipment of China made tractors.

Can maybe get $2000 for a used running one.

No way on one that doesnt start.

No parts no company support, they are cheap throw away machines. Get it for a few 100 bucks and can tinker
maybe fix the problem maybe just junk out sell the tires off it.. His price? No way no how.

Relative of mine bought one for lawn maintenance on the
family farm which is mostly CRP now. The radiator is too
small to cool the tractor during mowing with a 5 3pt
mower. He said after attempts to clean or correct the
problem it is going away. A blue meatball has taken its
place.

The tag says "Dongfeng" so I would not doubt but it's this model tractor:

Parts may be hard to get but not impossible. However there isn't $2000 worth of parts and scrap there to get your money back.
