Remlinger 3 bar harrow

Is it worth putting one of the older straight spike 3 bar Remlinger harrows behind a field cultivator? I run the 9 inch sweeps in the spring on fall chisel plowed ground. Trying to eliminate a pass with the harrogator. Neighbor has one hes be willing to sell for $150 that looks very good. He used it on a disk before.

I mounted a 5 bar on my disc and It really did a nice job . I pulled the harrow off and traded it for a big roller which does a better job I think .

If it hangs on chains like the one Muir Hill shows in his picture it would work fine. If it is one of the ones with springs to hold it in place, it will drag up wads of trash if you have any on top. I had one with the springs and took it off for a set of spike tooth on chains on my field cultivator. The best ones are the ones that can flex at each bar and hang on chains.

I have had them and also other makes, used all the time. First one I actually took an old wood bar drag spike tooth harrow and made my own version. And Remlinger is made close to where I live. And the last 7 letters in Remlinger is the same as the last letters of my name.
