Posted yesterday about an issue i was having with a New Holand TD80d. got several great responses but harry in ky pointed me to an issue he has encountered several times with a fuel/water Seperator and suggested i bypass it. now i had changed that filter and would have never considered bypassing it (there is a second one farther down the line on the engine). took me about 30 minutes to do it, fired it up, and it runs perfectly!!!!
I think we have all been there, working on an issue for a couple days, and everything you try doesn't work. after cleaning tanks, replacing lines, putting in filters and parts that should have worked with no result, then going over it all again just to make sure you didn't miss something the first time is the most frustrating thing to me. throw in the tractor was my Dads, was one of the only things he bought new in his life and ive always tried to keep it in perfect shape just added to the pressure/frustration. To get handed the answer like that was like a gift from god. So harry, if you're ever in Virginia, you have a free steak dinner waiting for you, and regardless you have a lot of good karma heading your way, and my Sencere thanks. thanks to everyone who responded!
