AMEN Richard. A much simpler life and kids learned to work for a living. Different world we live in today. Richard

Do you remember going to school and realizing your hands still smelled like milk cow? We hand milked 5 or 6 cows for personal use and to sell a little cream. Got butter back from the cream man. This time of year when the cows started eating grass the tail got pretty nasty and she'd wrap that mop around your face. I like buying milk from the grocery store!

When I was a kid we had sheep and during shearing I packed the wool box. The lanolin from the wool underside would make your hands very soft, but they smelled like a sheep for at least a week.

You got that right! And they learned right from wrong, and probably even went to church.

Not s.c. Mn. Around here everyone would have cleared trees from that hillside and planted corn on every square inch. Then big rains would have washed big gullies and the state would have to mandate the farmers leave grass waterways and eighteen ft. buffer along waterways and we all half to do it even though not necessary for most.
