Splicing wire horse panels

What do you all use? Planning on wiring them together but wonder if anyone does it different? This is a fence I'm putting up at a rental house.

Rented property? You may have to wire them together so that you may be able to move them,othtyteise you could remove a stay wire and splice the line wires

thanks, I'm the landlord. Most of them are overlapped 2 inches although my post spacing got wider so some are les overlap. Guess I could take the welder over but wire is probably easier.

When I put up any wire that comes in a roll I cut the end vertical wire off and use the horizonal wires to tie the two pieces
together.
When I put up those 16 foot panels of heavy gauge wire I use hog rings to tie the two pieces together.

Anywhere you weld will rust off way before any part of
the panels gives out. You could spray it with cold
galvanizing paint but that barely last longer than spray
paint. Tying it with galvanized wire is best.

Yes, that is true. Seems like they would make something to connect them but so far I haven't found anything. Maybe some cable clamps.

I usually cut the fence where there is 2 of wire sticking out. Then use that 2 to connect it to the next roll.

These are 16 foot horse panels. 4 or 6 guage wire.

WHY NOT WIRE THEM TOGETHER BUT BETTER PUT A ELECTRIC WIRE THERE ALSO TO STOP ANIOMALS FROM LEANING ON THE PANELS BECAUSE THEY

Easiest way I have found is to use wood posts and staples. I have a couple 8 foot high fences that have been up for over 20 years with minimal maintenance.

When putting up 16ft cattle panels I space the posts 8 ft apart and wire the two panels together at every other post.

Seems to me like some type of crimp type pieces like what we put on banding material would work. Just use
heavy pliers to squeeze them around the wire panels to hold them together.

amazon has a dozen stainless steel wire rope clamps for 10 dollars. 3 or 4 clamps per panel should do it. and easy to take apart if you need

This is in the city by a alley. Probably have to work about kids and thieves more than animals.

Malco makes some 9ga hot dipped galvanized hog rings.
Might have to buy the tool tho.

If your only dealing with those ten panels, maybe use SS zip ties or SS safety wire capturing the panel ends and post all at the same time.

Thanks, tractor supply has them too but those look to be better quality.
