No, this isn't about a tired wore out Engine.
I posted this yesterday but don't see it when I came here today to see if I had any replies. So I'm putting it out there again.
What application would use 20w20 oil?
How bout 20w30?
60hd?
Any use for type F trans fluid besides Ford cars and trucks before 1981?
I went to an auction and ended up with a bunch. There were some other weights and grades included, of which I can use. And of which I bought the lot for and ended up with all this other unfamiliar stuff along the way

Type F automatic trans fluid can be used in most ford and JD tractors for hydraulic fluid that were built before 1978/1980. Its also an approved atf fluid for many older automatic transmissions like the cruiseomatic, and also can be used in most all power steering systems. Type F was outlawed or removed from the market in 1978 due to the fact it had a viscosity improver from whale oil,,, that was banned world wide to save the whales. So after that a man made/synthetic viscosity improver had to be supplied going forwards. The alaskan/artic cold war drive in the late 50s and early 70s had finally discovered the world of synthetic oils that solve this problem. And jet engines also pushed this as well. It was a great hydraulic oil for wet brakes and wet clutches that controlled the anti friction additives. It was a 20 w oil with viscosity improver's added.

ATF type F oil is NOT a substitute for applications calling for JD Hy Gard fluid. ATF type F oil is acceptable for applications such as the hydrostatic drive in a JD Titan combine (6620, 7720). It is in the manual for my 6620 combine as a substitute for the JD oil for that application.

Thanks for the input guys. Keep it coming.
I always associated type F with Ford, and I've always owned Dodges all my life.
I did have one 70s Sears/roper hydro tractor whose manual said to use type f and nothing but type f in it's manual.
While we're at it.... Anybody need any of this?
Im located an hour south of Chicago
I guarantee you won't be able to touch it in any store for what I'd have to have for it.

How about pictures, or at least a list of types and quantities. You have mentioned nothing about how much of this stuff you have. A few cans of each, or case lot quantities????????

Can't believe it's so buried in such a short time. Can ibump this forward? I need to see much of this stuff GO!!!!!

Are you using classic view or modern view?

Classic view buries your post and removes your formatting. Modern view brings posts with the most recent replies to the top and retains your formatting.

You should post what you have and how much you want in a classified ad on this site.

Ok thanks. I didn't know the difference in "views"
I've had that problem often, where I see something someone posts and then can't find it again...
I lurk here more than I post.

I put a price in a couple of posts up, and I do have the box checked to notiyme when someone replies.
Thanks guys
