Very humble by some standards but in the very early days of our country it would have seemed like a castle to many,indeed many in our country today live in far worse housing.

It certainly could have been a house but to me it looks like a chicken house. Not that it wouldn't have been better thana lot of old houses. Nany times the animals had it
better, you know the house didn't make money.

I agree with the chicken house. Those
large windows facing south. Thats not to
say it didn't start out as a house and
then converted when they built the new
larger house.

I donated a smaller chicken house to a neighbor. She moved it and refitted it to be a play house for the kids. Nice big willows for light so no electricity
needed.
