I know that I didn't have to do this because I have a good block now but I did. For 2 reasons. 1: I didn't want a PISTON to beat me.
2: I now have two bores to practice honing before I do the good block.

see not hard. but couple questions. whats wrong with that block? and which way did u pound them out? i see the piston is broke off at the oil
ring. and yes you had to do that cause you need them rods.
 
If those are babbit lined connecting rods, be sure to put the shims back on the same side they came off of and
in the same order. Then close the gap up with the rod nuts finger tight so the shims won't get bent or broken. You may need the shims later.
