I bot some wheel wts at an auction.

They were in a stack and I assumed (Yeh, I know) they were all the same.

Not so. All are three bolt wts. With the holes 16 1/2 inches apart. Should fit my 720 Deere

But the center cutouts are a bit different. Did Deere make differing styles?

I tried to post pics but havent figured it out yet.

''But the center cutouts are a bit different. Did Deere make differing styles? ''

Yes, they did, sometimes without changing the part number.

Are you saying they DON'T fit your 720, or haven't you tried to fit them, yet?

Havent tried yet.

Tractors not yet out of the barn for spring.

Wts. Need clean and paint.

I dont throw 150 lbs. easily any more.

A3404Rs could be had with a round hole for standards, oval hole for the 50 60 70, Z hole for 520-4440, big Z hole to fit over the 9 lug dual hub. They will all bolt together, but the round hole version won t allow you to change the the row spacing, and the oval weights can only have two on to change the tire spacing. The Z weights will allow you to change the wheel spacing with more than two weights on.

There was an online only sale a few weeks ago in eastern Iowa that had a stack of 6 weights listed. They brought a jaw dropping price is $350 EACH, after buyers fee. I think maybe the bidders didn t realize the bid was times 6.

Ron, with out seeing them i can say for sure, but most of the 4010-4020 weithts gad hand holds buit into them, just get one person to hep you one man on each side of the axle, facing each other , first get the weights rolled up to the tire, each man grab a hand hold, and lift it up hang it on started bolts, and each have a hammer close by, and tap the bolts threw. You can order long 3/4 inch bolts from fastenal Corp, almost any length you want or you can buy 3/4 rod, thread on end long enough for threads, and the other end long enough to put a nut on and weld it, but not in a full circle, it will crystalize it![The bolt]

Looks like I have 3 oval holes and a Z hole.

I did a cardboard cutout and the holes all line up so I should be Okay

Thx for the help

Still working on the pics

A bit different but i just put a few sets of weights on my 806 this winter. They are a 4 hole weight and I made a couple steps with blocks to set them on as I got to the axle then would rotate on axle shaft so one bolt would align then lift turn for the next and then just wiggle to finish up the last 2. I also put 3 sets of half weights on the inside. I used the same threaded rod for both sides and all the way through, for both inside and outside. Just have nuts screwed on each end no welding.
