Ford Cyclops tractor

Hello jervicg12 welcome to YT! A ..cyclops.. is a
science fiction character! But there is a possibility that
you are talking about the NAA or Jubilee, see link. I am
an IH guy so I am not to bent up over the nickname.
There are more info pages on that link, for example the
..Overview.. page is to the far left.
Ford NAA on Tractordata

I had to google the term... I seems to be referring to the time that Ford tractors had the nice front of hood medallion. Nothing
rare about them at all. Could they be the most common tractor from that era? Several different models were built with the
medallion from September 1952, until about 1962. Certain models of this era are more rare than others though. Do you have an
actual model number, serial number, or photo?

I guess you can't refer to a spring toothed tillage tool as a ''drag'' without offending somebody in Tennessee
either then. LOL

Started with NAA, went through xx1 series. John Smith's Ford tractor history page will help you identify the model.

As to value, the two main factors are condition and location.

A very wise man told me this when I was quite young.

''Value'' is established when the fool who is buying and the fool who is selling agree on a price. Once the deal is consummated, ''value'' no longer exists.

That "cyclops" hood medallion will be on the 1953-54 NAA/Jubilee, 1955-57 hundred series (600, 800, 900, etc) and the 1958-62 "01" series (501, 601, 701, 801, 901). Medallion changed with different series and models but was located in the same place. That covers about 10 years and many tractors. Post a pic on the Ford board and you'll likely get an answer to the model.

Derisive? I don't think that.
Just a way to identify an era of good old
tractors.
I never thought that styling was very
attractive anyway.
Photos show an 860 and a 4000. Same
machines under the tin but I've always
thought the 4000 was much better looking
than the cyclops.

Wasnt there a utility version with a headlight there?? but the '53-'64 series are often overlooked for a great smaller farm tractor. All have live hydraulics, some have live pto. Two engine sizes on pretty much the same frame.
