Sticker shock.

Fitting that threads into each end of the company backhoes steering cylinder which is basically a ball joint:575 bucks apiece and theres two of them.I run it and fix it when I can but at least I dont have to pay for it!

I spent $280.00 for these two last summer. Custom made at a local hydraulics shop. I did spend an extra $20.00 for swivels on both ends.

(quoted from post at 06:03:18 03/15/23) Point is 6 years ago these hoses would have cost 30 some dollars.

Nah, more than 6 years ago two short hoses for my dump trailer cost $150. They were nothing special, just 3/8 hoses with JIC swivels on each end.

I don't under stand why people pay so much for hydraulic hoses, especially when they can be ordered off the internet.
I just bought 9--18 inch hoses with and 9 female swivel adapters, 1--24 inch hose. I am replacing all hoses on my Du All FEW. I just do not want another hydraulic.. I always shop around!!!

total price including shipping----$123.40

There is a huge difference in quality when it comes to hoses. The 20 buck 2 wire hoses are cheap. They will not flex as much as good hoses. They will not take as much pressure as good hoses. They will rot fast, especially if left exposed to sun. If you paid 130 bucks for 9 hoses, you will be doing it again in just a couple years.
