We run several MF. Had excellent luck with them. 285 with the 8 speed tranny is nimble enough to work a hay rake and be an excellent bush hogging tractor but still heavy enough to be a great plow horse. 4-14 no problem running deep in heavy hard clay sod and we still aint filled the tires the rest of the way only 1/2 full.

I can think of so many ways a lot of that equipment would make my life easier. However it would require me to have another full time job to afford it. So, I guess it would just complicate things!

While your here,,tell your wife we are having a large tomato contest in Tales(and Talk if they would like),,,,tell your wife shes gotta be in it,,to win it!!lol

Tell her Im gonna grow a variety called Delicious,,,and ask her what variety she recommends for biggest tomatoes,,,Thanks!!

Come on Larry, you want a compact tractor like Grandpa has.
Why wait, go for it?
You can't take your money with you, spend it..

One called DAHO Competition Tomato. She said you can get a 5-6 pound tomato with it, maybe more. She said it has to be pruned down to one tomato per plant to get that large if you're just trying to win a contest. She said in 2022 competition in Minnesota, one weighed 16.85 pounds. She has seed if you want to buy some. She's grown four pounders with one called Goat Bag.

OK. She has one called Monkey Butt too. That one will get as big as or bigger than Goat Bag, but she said it can be inconsistent. Sometimes a few big ones on a plant, sometimes not. She said she's familiar with Delicious. She said it won't win any competitions.

Belle Mead has the only MF dealership in New Jersey. The next nearest MF dealer in Pennsylvania is over 50 miles from them. I've seen lots of smaller new MF and Sunflower stuff in different parts of the state with their sticker on it. They don't deal in new really big tractors or combines though. Just not much potential to move something like that here. I have seen a couple used combines go through there though.
