Saw this on another site and thought it might give some entertainment and ideas.

Looks like the chain for the third link would slip off that pipe unless it is bolted or welded to it. Front spindles look like they might be a bit light for loader work. Apparently not with a log on there like that though.
 
You are not seeing the whole picture the chain is to protect the rear hydraulics as there is a 1100lb weight I don't want bouncing on cylinder seals and rear valve is in float position. It will pick up and carry more that my 5065 JD with 553 loader that has 1000lb of beet juice in rear 16.9s. The loader also has float for front bucket, Sno-Way blade and forks. The chain is 100 Grade alloy.
 
I appreciate people with imagination....cute little thing!
I've seen a few made from old Singer sewing machines that look pretty good too.
