my son's '58 MF 65

After my son passed in August 21 I brought his tractor home with no plan as I already had 4 running and a basket case in the barn. I went thru cleaning plugs and points, drained and cleaned the fuel tank,
checked engine oil and hy/tran fluid, antifreeze, and parked it in the horse shed. I gassed it up in May 22 and my cousin drove it on a ride then I drained the fuel tank again and let it set. This morning I
went down and put the battery off one of my others and put fresh gas in it. I turned the fuel on, pulled the choke and it fired right off. I am gonna mess with it and get it ready to pull later this month.
Felt good and remembered him.

I have a Massey 65 that my Dad bought around 1965. Dad passed in 2009. I also have an Illinois pocket watch that belonged to my grandfather.

I put the watch in my bib pocket and three generations use that old 65 every time I fire it up.

I have my dads and he passed in 01, my oldest son can pass for my dad at the same age. In winter with heavy costs on I some time have to take a second look. Take care we all have for the most part a memory with tractors.

I know the feeling. I have my Dad's old Allis B and my grandfathers Farmall H. Whenever I drive either of them Dad and Grqndpa are on the seat with me, a really good feeling.

I remember you telling of us when he passed. I think that should be your main tractor now. Use it often, and remember the good times with your son. Bill
