Why do people leave equipment like that out in snow that deep? Then they wonder how the water got in the transmission or engine well duh it saoks in around levers and shafts as well as down exhausts or intakes. IT ran last fall and is stuck now don't know why.

How many dealers do you know of that park tractors and equipment inside? Asking for a friend.

Hopefully that's a short term event with a dealer. Repeated soakings accumulate damage. After Dad died and baby brother lost the farm, the JD 2510 sat outside for the first time in its life, for two years. When I was finally able to rescue it, the bottom of the air cleaner was full of water.

If water gets in all these places, what keeps the oil from running out??

Old tractors will get nearly as much water in them sitting in a shed as they will sitting out!
