OT - What Is It/How Is It Used?

Wondering what are the things in the attached pictures, and how do people use them? I found them in a box labeled moving supplies, so I suppose they might be something movers use somehow. Anyone know?

I think 504 has it. The guys that delivered my new fridge and removed the old one used that device. One guy on each side quick and easy.

I saw two guys on my app for our security system at church moving a spinet piano down a flight of stairs at the church. They used the strap system. No camera in the spiral stairwell, so I thought it might get dicey but fortunately they got it moved without incident.
