Anyone know what size screws are used to fasten the ignition points or condenser clamp to the breaker plate? This is on a 51 8N, though it shouldnt matter.

#57683S36, Screw, Pan Hd, W/Washer, G5, #8-32 x 1/4"

I believe the ''w/washer'' means the OEM replacement version has a captive internal tooth lockwasher on them.

A 1951 FORD 8N used the Angle (Side) Mount Distributor, and that is the important point. AS mentioned, the two screws you ask about are, p/n 355047, 8-32 x 3/16 LNG.
with a #8 Lockwasher, but the FORD part numbers are no longer in use. Note Breaker Points are gapped at .027 +/- .001. Note the ARROW LEFT <- in diagram - Firing
Order is CCW. After SEP 1953 starting with the NAA the Firing Order became CW and oparest all the same. You can find all this information; parts views and part
numbers, in the MPC's. Get The ESSENTIAL MANUALS for you tractor - best investments you can make.

Go to amazon and look for points and condensers.
Some kits come with new screws.
You may have to buy the complete kit with the distributor and
rotor too..
