Lawn mower tractor.

Yesterday I was at a yard sale (moving sale). I was walking around and watching this old guy ride this little tractor around the place. He just plain driving it around. He rides it over to me and asked me if I was the tractor guy in this town. I said yes. He then asked me a question what the price for this tractor. I answered back 25 dollars. He told me than that he would take the price I said. Next question come to my mind what do I do with this little riding mower tractor? I already have 10 full size tractors. this might be title as 1/2 of a tractor. Needless to say, I have no clue how I ended up with this little ride tractor. So today I am going back to see what I bought for 25 dollars and bring it home. I am a proud person of a riding mower tractor. That is what happens when you are not paying attention to what you are doing at yard sales. L.O.L.

I use 48 inch mowers to trim the edges.
I have 2 tractors with 72 inch mowers to mow the rest.
I took a cheap 38 inch mower and installed taller wheels.
I use that mower to clean up the dead in flower beds in the spring. Mower blades stay out of the roots. Mulches dead flowers.

You don't say where you're located, and I don't see you on the members map, but I remember S Cal? With the water shortages in the SW there will be a lot of lawn mowers for sale cheap. The city of Scottsdale AZ will pay homeowners $2 a sq. ft. to replace grass with something that doesn't require water. They currently irrigate all golf courses with recycled water(effluent), they are a smart city!

I noticed some places in Florida where the soil is white sand some homeowners have a substitute for a lawn. Some use large gravel.
Those lawns on white sand require constant watering, fertilizer and spray for insects.

Where can this member map that refer to be found?

Little tractors are fun. I got this one out of a junk yard in about 1980. It's a 1966.It was bent rolled over, smashed and really belonged in the junk.
I spent most of the summer 20017 working on it and took it to a couple of threshing shows and rode it around, my version of a golf cart.

Well i just bought a 1250 Cub Cadet and like almost everything i have bought she is DOA , i gave 200 for it . It is also sorta a rare 1250 because it has hyd. lift and head lights and it came with both side panels and GOOD TIRES . It just don't run. Now as to how many flate rate Hours of beer it will take to get it running i am not sure and a qt of yellow and a qt. of Cub cadet white and a new seat it will look new.

That sounds great if you ask me. Let me say at the time I was not wanting to buy this tractor. I was trying to think of a cheap price just to hear him say no to it. Trying to be kind and like my parents would say be respectful. Instead, he got me buying his little running rider as he said in his words. L.O.L. it runs all tires have air and wow it is a tractor to be driven. Never in my life I had a little put, put, tractor. Now I do. Monday I will return and go around the place looking for the belly mower unit and other stuff for it. that if it is still out there.

To the referral of where my place is. As you look on the map you will see Benton California. this is a little town of 280 people. Which means it has only one stop sign in the town. This town is mostly
people that do cattle ranchers, farmers, and you can say mines are no more since the 1940's. Weare 40 miles away from Bishop California, 40 miles Alway from Mammoth Mountain. Most people who are not into
farming or ranching. work in /bishop Or Mammoth Mountain. The reason why the workers are moving this way is because that housing can be affordable to them. they also can buy property in acres. Like I
did. You might say it is a great summer place for a person like me to be in. I enjoy wooding for the wintertime, fishing those high sierras plus, kayaking them.I gave my home the name the LOST Z RANCH
the reason is clear. I have 3.16 acres. I have had guest with trailers and motor homes stay for a spell when they are in the area.

I am sorry. When this site was first started up in the years.it never required that information. I used to live in Riverside cal. back in those years. As that town grew, they took my land. In 2016 I finally gave in sold the house because going to court to save the land. I could not afford to do. I sold the property. Which meant I moved 14 tractors to the new place that I called home. The Lost Z ranch is in Benton California. Home between the high Sierra and the California white mountains. real close to Nevada. I have been on this sight since 1995. I can say I have watched it grow and change. The improvements are neat to see.

Last spring I bought a nice looking 1450 from a guy for $200. It had been parked in his shed for 6 years because it was leaking transmission fluid. I assumed it was the gasket between the hydrostat and the rear end. Turned out it was the relief valve on top of the transmission. We added gas and fired it and oil poured out of the valve. He said he couldn't find them and he had replaced the cub with a Zero Turn. Bought a rebuilt relief valve for $60 from Ebay, replaced the fluid and the filter used it for the rest of the summer. My son and I both on 50 mowers (this is my second 1450) can knock out mowing in an hour.

That is a nice looking Wheel Horse. I had a 1966 Lawn Ranger with a 5 HP Techumsa motor, electric start. Ethonal gas had just come out and the wife put it in everything. The motor did not like ethonal gas. Outside of that it was the best mower I owned until I bought my 1st JD.
