at this point you guys are probably getting TIREd of tires  But I have another question for you. What are your opinions one the Titian Hi Power Lug tires?

I don't know if the Titan 11.2 38s that I put on my Oliver 66 are ''Hi Power Lugs'' or not, but they're nice
tires. We've used the tractor for plow days and tractor rides. Least expensive new tires we could find.

They are good tires. In your other post I mentioned the
American Farmer Brand. USA made 45 degree lug and nice
quality with reasonable price.

New tires are very expensive, are there other less expensive parts of the tractor that you could work on to start with? Until the engine is running you only need enough to roll or slide the tractor around for short distances. It would be still be a great learning experience for a young person to simply reassemble the engine and get it running for maybe only the cost of some gaskets and a few missing parts? Enjoy your tractor in the rough until after you get established in the world. Then you can come back to it again to do the expensive engine overhaul, put new tires on it and give it a fresh paint job when all that will only cost you a weeks take home pay.

Spending some money now on a factory service manual and an operator's manual is great way to start and learn a lot about your tractor. Check E-bay for used manuals.

bought Titans 1 time...within two years the side wall on one had cracked so bad the tube was popping out...bit the bullet bought F&Rs that's all I will spend the money on now

My brother bought a set of titan high traction lug radials for his 7140, they have been on there for about 4or5 years and been fine so far. Put them on both front and back not on the duals though. I just bought a set of bias Titan high traction lug tires for my 806 this winter. The radials are in 18or 20 42's the bias are 18.4-38's can't be much worse than the ones I took off. I think they are from the old Good year long bar short bar mold. Or at least that is what they look like to me. The 806 is now just a hay and lighter work tractor now so don't need to be able to pull plows and heavy discs anymore.

So were you looking for the "chicken track" tires in the other thread or what? Don't leave us hanging.

Yes, I was until learned that the had little traction. My B is going to be a snow removal tractor and when it goes to shows, she'll be pulling a two bottom plow.

One of the tire companies supplied free or discounted tractor tires for FFA (Future Farmers of America) and 4H projects. Have you looked into those?

Thats Titan. You need to request through your FFA advisor and they will only donate for one tractor per student.
