MF35 Red Tractor making popping noises and loosing power

Hello i have a MF35 tractor petrol motor and it has just started making these strange popping noises i think from the air filter . It does this sometimes only and not all the time and when it does it looses power ? any advice appreciated ?? Tried all the usual things fuel/spart etc but figure this out .

Here is a video of it:

The link didn't work, but occasional popping back through the intake can
be caused by wet ignition, worn distributor bushings causing the points to
not stay set, lean mixture, either from the carb too lean, or lack of fuel
making it to the carb. Pull the drain plug in the carb bowl, catch the
flow, see what you catch. There should be a steady flow, not stopping or
slowing to a drip.

A rhythmic popping back through the carb that worsens with load is an
indication of a flat exhaust lobe on the cam. Check the motion of the
valves, check for broken springs, bent pushrods, valves out of adjustment.
A loose valve seat can also cause intermittent valve problems.

I have a similar engine in a petrol Dexta, you may find the problem is due to sticking
inlet valves. Mine started sticking through lack of use but I replaced valves and
guides and have not had the problem now for around 10 years. The push rods can become
displaced too.

I had an M Farmall that would idle fine but, when it was under load, it would do that same thing. Checked everything and could find nothing. Finally I pulled the hood and valve cover and put it to work. Found that one intake valve was warped a little and when it was put to work it would warm up and expand just enough to wedge in the guide. Gave it a valve job with one new valve. No problems after that

Does sound like a valve problem...

But before digging into it, take the exhaust pipe loose at the manifold, just to prove it's not an exhaust restriction.

My 1950 farmall C has a magneto.
After it warmed up it too would make a popping sound before it
died like it ran out of gas.
Condensation inside the mag would short out the spark after the
mag warmed up.
