Made right in Lansing MI at one time. Been gone for a long time. Used to see them on Fuel tankers and gravel trains a lot. Might see one setting some place like a Marmon another recently gone maker in the 90's was the end of Marmon.

Not sure where you found this pick KCM but this truck was owned by the father of an ex neighbour of mine here in Central Western NSW Australia, and it turns up on a website from the other side of the world. Might be time for a lottery ticket! Who would have thought that?

Summer of '75 I started driving a mixer for the local readymix company, the shop Forman had me hop in the
company pickup and we drove 20+ miles to the Cummins engine shop to pickup my truck, a '74 Diamond REO, little
555 Cummins V-8 5 speed Allison auto Trans and a 3 speed Brownie.
I will say that truck had THE NICEST INTERIOR of any big truck I ever drove. Fake walnut vinyl decal on the
instrument panel, but everything worked. Wasn't a fan of the Allison at first. Only had 50,000# license on it,
a 7 yard load had me around 52,000#, and it had a 9 yard drum!
Last time I saw that truck it was sitting in a big truck junkyard, was missing the drum, but would have
made a great farm truck with about a 20 ft grain box installed, 5 or 6 ft sides. It had 38,000# Hendrickson
walking beam rear suspension and 20,000# frt axle, big BEEFY thing, Super singles on frt, duals on rear. The
hydraulic pump to turn the drum stuck out ahead of the frt bumper about 3+ ft. BOSTRUM air ride driver's seat,
matching passenger seat minus the air ride. Cab was painted CONSTRUCTION ORANGE.
