Wonder if the crowd, the uniformed man, and the
ambulance are pertinent to the condition of the car?

That Model A would top out at 65 when new.It looks like a factory district,so real high speeds were probably not a factor. They do bend easily,no more steel was used in them than they had to have. That one may have been on it's side, the tops were often ripped off like that to get people out when the car was on it's side. The oil spill also points to it being on it's side then righted again. If you tipped that car over right there, that is where the oil would have dumped out of the filler tube.

I don't know if that black thing where the front wheel belongs is something to sop up oil,or if it is just some upholstery or blanket that just wound up there.I doubt they would have tried to sop up the oil, there is a handy storm drain under the radiator that would have done that.

I am of the opinion that they came in "hot" and that front wheel slipped into the drain and everything came to a crashing halt. Can't tell if the front windshield is intact or if it is missing. Driver may have come through windshield.

Looks like the cop is watching the ambulance driving away. Not sure of the make. It looks like
a tow rope attached to the Model A front axle. Looks like it sideswiped a loading dock.
