I was just reading the replies I got on my cannon post and see where posted about the steel wheels--You claimed they were light duty and were off the tongue of a binder. I got to doing some looking and here is what I found.

As you can see on the binder tongue that is what they look like-When I was a kid my Dad junked his binder out but kept the dolly wheels--small with a single rib

Here is a farm wagon I found on line.

Here is what is on the cannon--Which one of the wheels do I have on the cannon?---Thanks---Tee

Well OK! Disclaimer: I only worked with a McCormick Deering binder! And a 1936 steel wheeled John Deere running gear which had wheels some what like you are using only my not trust worthy memory remembered them a little more robust and on a steel axle with cast iron hubcaps. Sheesh, I probably am wrong! But you are right in showing a much smaller diameter wheel for tongue support ..I do not remember the trucks for the horse drawn disc and he never had any ride-upon truck for the three section wooden drag we used. I have a home made cannon. I bought it off Craigslist. It had wheels lie that. So I decided to make it look more real. I bought cannon wheels with axles off the internet. The barrel was 4 inch schedule 160 cs pipe. I bought a 4 x 6 reducer, cut the 4 end to slip over the barrel. Welded it on, cut a donut out of flat plate, welded in across the gape of the barrel and reducer. I drilled and taped the rear of the barrel. Using a small funnel put the powder in screw the plug with 1/8 hole drill to put the fuse in. I can shoot one ounce of black and send a 15.5 oz can of beans, carrots or what ever on sell all across the hay field length wise approx 1000 ft. Sorry I dont know how to post pictures.

You can have fun with it also. You can get colored corn starch from the internet to have different color discharge smoke or even shoot blue or pink at a reviling party.
