Ford 5610 has a new battery (functional). When I turn the key there is no gauges that light up, and starter does not activate. The light switch on the tractor also does nothing. When I tried jumping the starter with a screwdriver, it made sparks but didn t crank the tractor. The multimeter shows that the battery has 12V. Anyone have any advice on how to find what s wrong?

Run the voltage tests with the system under a load, as in the lights and
ignition on.

There could be a bad connection, a superficial charge on the battery, or a
defective battery.

If the voltage still checks good, look for a broken connection that feeds
all the accessories. It typically connects to the battery side of the
starter solenoid. Look for a 10 gauge wire heading toward the dash area.

Found the source of the problem. Some wires near the fuses had worn to the wire on the bracket that holds the fuses. As soon as the wires were taken off the metal of the bracket, the tractor had all its power back but it made the wires hot so we cut some of the damaged wire, soldered new wires and put heat shrink tubing. Everything s back to normal.

Thanks guys!
