Tractor Supply

Sounds like just that, a rumor. I ve never even heard of a TSC in a mall. It wouldd be an extremely small number of stores. Are there any?

I didn't know there were any stores in any malls. That seems like an odd location for farm supply/parts stores.

I have never heard of one in a mall either. They might as well be since they are mostly clothes and pet food anymore, little to nothing of any tractor stuff anymore

There are a few in malls, I know of at least one in Maine. It is on one end of the mall, so they have a fenced in outdoor space.

I would sooner expect they would be closing stores where the TSC stores overlap with Orscheln stores they acquired, keeping the best store/building. Some of those might be in malls.

Never heard of a mall store but I don't know why they keep our local one open. Been a ghost town for several years since Rural King opened across the street.

Are you referring to a traditional Mall? Or a shopping center mall? In Alabama it's about 50/50 free standing stores and stores in shopping centers. Heck the biggest tractor supply in Alabama just opened in a former grocery store, in an old shopping center. They did tear down a couple empty stores that were attached to it for the out door garden center.

Our TSC is not in a mall.
Closest mall is 25 miles away.
Our TSC might as well close as the they don't stay stocked.

We have at least 3 that are in strip malls here that I know of but not traditional malls. 2 have been open forever seems like, 1 is part of a revamped WalMart. There is one big store closer to me than any of the 3, but I have only been in there once whe nthey were having a sale on DeWalt batteries and I needed a couple extra.

Yep ... Mall makes folks think about the enclosed malls, with a food court in the middle. Most of those are nearly empty.... We haven't been in one for 10+ years.

The one in Geneva is a stand alone. The one in Seneca Falls is in a small outdoor plaza. I can be at either within 15-20 minutes. I don't know about any rumors.

I am in tractor supply a couple of times per month. Between animal feed and fencing supplies they keep in stock everything that we need. I will certainly miss them having vaccines, antibiotics and other drugs for the animals, when the law changes about that later this year. Tractor parts come from the dealership; it is about a half mile past the tractor supply.

I expect that the OP means strip malls.

There is a TSC in a strip mall about 6 miles from my place.

I expect it to close as soon as the tax abatement given to TSC by the city to maintain the viability of the strip mall expires.

TSC sold all of their locations in Ontario to Peavey Mart a couple years ago now at least. About all they sell is clothing, gardening, hand tools and horse stuff. And you can buy this same stuff in many other locations. The market for the items that they sell is very competitive and crowded.
