1030 Case PTO

A friend is looking at a 1030 to buy. It only has a 1000 RPM shaft. He needs a 540. Is the 1030 a 1000 only? Can it be converted to 540?Nice tractor with factory cad. But the 1000 is deal

Yes the 1030 can be converted to a 540 pto , mine is. I just got a pto assembly out of a 930 from a wrecking yard. All parts are interchangeable.

That conversion can be done for under $500 in parts. Bill

A comfort king pto from a 7/8/930 will fit. The only difference is the 1030 has one extra set of plates and dice in the clutch. Easiest way to do it is to just swap out the entire rear housing from a donor tractor.

As stated below it can be changed to a 540. Mine was changed before I bought it.It should not be a deal breaker
