yesterday i got a 35 ft tillage tool finished. needed a tractor to lift
n move it. we got a rough 1586 and a 7405 deere that were bought
cheep.
they both got new batterys . but they hadnt been started in a
while. i fired the 7405 up bet it didnt turn over 4 cranks fired
rite up setting in the BIG SHED as well as the 1586. it took a few
more seconds but lit rite up.
the 7405 we used it a lot loading bales. not a bad easy to handle
tractor. at times id like to own it but naaa. pwer quad shifts nice
hyds great too rides nice kinda simple compared to the newer
tractors

Dads IHC H was on its third set of rings, uses as much oil as gas, gutless from lack of compression.

But when it had the magneto on it that thing would start at 20 below f sitting in the cold shed for a week. On its original 6 volt configuration.

It was the go to machine to pull start the other tractors that wouldnt start.....

Sometimes the best tractors aren't the newest or the prettiest.

We had a 700 case that we used for loader and grinding feed in winter. As long as it had a good battery it would start down to 25 below sitting in the shed. On the other hand I had a wore out 4230. If it got down to 70 overnight and you wanted to use it next day, you better plug it in.

At different times, we had two VAC Cases that would always start, no matter how cold.

southwest mo n its been cold not real cold this week but enough that several balk starting.poit is either hasnt been fired up in a month n we were like -4 a couple weeks ago
