New Big Bud tractors are being built in Georgia. The 2023 model will have limited computer features and components so the farmer can do repairs themselves
 
Maybe they should build 100- 125 hp that we could repair ourselves and keep going without all the crap on it. Bet they would sell. I would buy one.
 
The new Big Bud is planned to be first shown at the ConExpo show in Las Vegas in March. I'll actually be attending this show so I look forward to seeing it. They are partnered with Rome, the company that makes construction implements. The fact that they're introducing it at a construction trade show rather than a farm show and that they are tied in with Rome seems to suggest that the construction industry is maybe their primary focus.

They're using a CAT C18, Tier 4 Final Offroad DEF aftertreated engine.
 
Power train will be Cat components, still have computers on that and the related service issues.

As far as minimizing the rest of the computers, they will be competing against Versatile.
 
There will be a market for these new Big Buds for the guys pulling 70-100ft air drills and carts that hold what a semi does. Got a neighbor right now with a 76ft air drill and 800 bu cart that his CIH Steiger 620 struggles with in certain conditions.

They can't. The engine will still need to be computerized to some degree with emissions controls which if done right isn't a bad thing.
 
This is good news. Happy to see a US mfg step up and get back to making industrial and maybe ag machinery that is designed for self-maint(mostly).

Best of luck to them, I hope they sell a bunch.
