Out with the old, and in with the new. Maybe?

Or something like that

Sent this one down the road this morning

While I really liked using this tractor, I had gotten
totally fed up with the DEF system. Always crapping
out, sometimes the tractor would leave me stranded
on the side of the road and Id have to get a service
man from the dealership to come with his laptop and
clear the codes. And other times the tractor would be
down for a week or more while they got gremlins
sorted out in the DEF system. And I got sick of paying
for it and being inconvenienced by it. Mostly I used this
tractor to cut, and bale hay. Haul hay and wrap hay.
Did around 2,400 wet bales in 2021. Since we have quit
milking cows, my hay needs have dropped
dramatically, and I dont need two loader tractors
anymore. My other Kubota tractor, the very same size,
doesnt need DEF, and has been a trouble free tractor.

Anyhow in with the new

And the new isnt very new at all. A CaseIH 8920, 5275
hours, comes with axle duals, full set of weights, and
no DEF hang up.

My daughter's small acreage size Kubota has def issues too. Too bad, otherwise I think they are fine tractors. Dealer offered me big trade in money for my 2012 Massey loader tractor to order a new one, but def on the new one was a non-starter.

I like it. Def leaves my trucks stranded a lot as well. Only problem the usually are 5 states away. Bill

I was just thinking about you earlier today and wondering if you were going to build that new million dollar set up or sell the cows. Now I know. Trust me, there's a good life to be had after the cows are gone.

I hope it does well for you Bruce. The Boxcar Magnums sure have been tough and dependable for us. They're what I call a working man's tractor.

Those grandsons are going to grow up operating that Case tractor. Teach them well. Nice looking tractor for sure. Wingnut

Have had a lot of DEF problems with my pickup too. Swear I will never buy another new truck. Will buy old and restore first. Probably cheaper also.

That one will last you as long as you will need it. Good trade, and good luck with the new tractor.

Ben
