I agree, every song tells a story, especially a country song !! I loved Elvis too, but he spent money like it was water!

A good entertainer, he had a lot of talent.

Ive become more sad I guess angry really about the drug culture so very many of these superstar entertainer personalities seem to turn to.

They have all this talent, all the fans, all the wealth. Would seem to have everything.

Their choices take away that talent from us way too soon.

Its a difficult thing to say properly during a morning period; but I find myself more angry than sad about something like this any more. If a person can understand my meaning.

Once upon a time I was the night manager of a full service, family style restaurant. Worked a 60 hour week, 6 nights, on a fixed salary. We pushed right up until closing and afterwards I was so wired I had to go out and get breakfast and sit and try to throttle down. Even then I could not sleep sometimes for a couple hours after I got home. Then had to get up to go to class in the morning. Now imagine how much performers put into their shows and the travel and practice and other things that go with being a performing star. I would imagine there are times where they only have a few hours and desperately want some rest so they take something to make them sleep. Many times these are prescriptions. At some point it gets away from them. Some are certainly degenerates, but I think most had no intention of going down the addiction path. IMHO.
