Most reliable/depenable

What is the most reliable tractor you've ever owned or still own? The one you would call old faithful. Pre 2000 model year. Mine would be a toss up between my Case DC and 1170

Ford Jubilee, NAA, also the hundred series that followed and, quite possibly the best ractor of all time in respect to reliability, the Ford 5000.

My 1984 White 2-88. 10,000 hours and engine and transmission haven't been touched. Even has 8,000 hours on the current dry clutch. Had a fire under the cab a year ago but just keeps going. Used it to plow snow two days ago.

6060 ALLIS CHALMERS. Bought it new in 1983. First tractor I had with a cab and air. After it a WD45 Allis Chalmers. Bought used for $600. In 1988. Has a trip bucket loader.

The 2 I started farming with a 4010 and 4020 diesels. I have overhauled both but they have given years of dependable service. Top pic is 4020 the other is 4010.Tom

No doubt in my mind.
The 1952 8N that was my Dad's first tractor.
I grew up on it.
It has worked on 5 farms in it's 71 years.
I could walk out to the shed and it would fire up right now and drag logs out of the woods.
Gets used summer and winter doing whatever I need it to do.
It has worn out brush hogs and finish mowers.
Here it is about 1955 with Daddy and me.

Buc, our first Cub, owned it 6 years, still 6 volt. Never had to do anything but change the fluids. Cuts several acres of lawn every week, all summer.

Our son got it where he turned 14,now he's 20 and has a job and girlfriend, my wife and I get to mow with Buc

Ford 5000 diesel with the rock solid 8 speed transmission. That is coming from an SOS lover, still have my dad's with the SOS but it has some issues. Can't complain tho as I personally know of 3 tachometers on it with over 20k hours added together.

My Allis Chalmers Model M, would be mine tractor of choice. I used it in my disking business for years. The few times it let me down, it was my own fault. I stopped disking a few years ago. I just use it around the place now. It can set all winter and in the spring, and with a little choke, and it fires right up. Stan

6060 was also our first tractor with a cab. Then we added the AC and the stadium lights. We put 4000 hours on it, then sold it when we broke up a partnership. It put out so much more power than it was supposed to, we were afraid of it. We should have bought the 6080.

I've got a 1950 Oliver 77 that I use on the feed cart every day, seven days a week. Been hooked on for over 20 years. I don't think I've done anything to it but spark plugs and a starter bendix.

1953 SUPER H Bought new in 53 (traded in a 10-20) one in frame sleeve/pistons, one clutch (idiot hired help), plugs/points wires and batteries as needed, one paint job. Jim

1952 H Farmall with a hydraulic tilt bucket loader.

My father-in-law bought it in 1956 and it's been in the family ever since. I inherited it when he died.

445 long I bought very used 25 years ago as a -until I get a better one tractor.tach was broke when I bought it and never fixed.I can only guess how many many thousands of hours it has.i replaced one clutch and one hydraulic pump hoses and belts and thats it.have to use starting fluid but after it starts it just goes and goes and goes
