Snow plow mounting on Ford 4100.

Looking for plans, info, or pictures for building a frame for a front mounted snow plow onto a 1980 Ford 4100. Have the plow and A-frame, but only a truck mount with electric/hydraulic lift and mounting clevises. Tractor does not have loader and currently has single spool remote.

I have an OEM Ford snow plow on my 3000.
They bolted the sub frame to the lower bolt holes on the front of the transmission.

The front of the sub frame bolts on to the bolster under the valance below the grill.
Photo only shows one bolt but there is one on each side.

Ford just used a cylinder to lift the plow.

To get power angle you will need to get a dual remote
I used mine today.
We had about 3in yesterday.
Ps, your 4100 is an odd model - only built for a couple of years so less known. For general questions like this you are better off calling it a 4600 SU which it basically is except for the smaller engine.
FTY, my 3000 plow setup would be a direct swap onto your tractor. They are the same from the transmission forward.

Thanks. Pretty much what I thought regarding mounting and lift. Mine had evidently been used as art of a municipal mower fleet and has a heavy steel L-Plate with a single stud protruding to the front (Bolted onto where the front of your frame mounts) and had chains for the lift connections between upper and lower 3-pt arms, and no swinging drawbar or brackets. And I had to add the remote to use with my NH Haybine and Heston round baler. Rear tires are 16.9 x 24, fronts 16 6-ply, and stance is very wide front and rear. Going to have to move the wheels in considerably to use a 7.5ft plow. Also has a Sims cab, minus the fabric side panels.

Acording to serial number list here on YT the 4100 was built from 1965 to 1981, And it is not an odd model. It is the 4000 with 39 inch rear wheels and were more of them around than the model with the 28 inch rear wheels, And 4600 acording to adds when new was a smaller tractor than the 4000SU, 4000 utility, 4100 high utility and 4200 row crop model. I had both a 1965 and a 1968 4100. Built for several years not just a couple. Just a smaller version of the 5000 but with a 3 cylinder engine instead of the 4 in the 5000 that I also had a 1968 model.

What you are describing is NOT A 4100, The 4100 had 12.6x38 rear tires. I have no Idea what model you have but it is definatly NOT a 4100 as I had 2 of the 4100 that is a sub model of the lower built 4000 and mine were 1965 and 1968 year models. The 4600 he mentioned I don't think any were ever sold in my area., Very few 2000 and even less 3000 models sold but more of the 4000 series and then the 5000 series about same number sold as the 4000 series.

I have heard of 'some other' Ford 4100 but have never seen one. Perhaps they were Basildon built for that market.
The 4100 I am referring to was built from 1976 till about 81.
It was basicallY a 4600 SU with that oddball 183 cubic inch (4.2 bore 4.4 stroke) 3 cylinder engine.
I don't know what tractor BobH has.

The 4100 that I know looked the same as the 5100 tractors. Had same type of front axle.that is how I knew it was not a normal 4100.
