Case 1194, missing dipstick

I purchased a 1984 Case 1194 Tractor (Serial # 11038682). The crankcase oil dipstick is missing. Can someone provide the safe oil range measured from the top of the dipstick mount? Also, where can I buy a replacement dipstick? Thanks.

Messicks claims to be able to get you one in a few days, part #K206286 - will only cost you $100.96! ;-)

I can provide that information, but my 1194 is down the street at my other barn. I will measure it when I get down there, which will probably be early tomorrow am, to plow snow.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. We had a heck of a storm here yesterday.

Here's the info you need. The dip stick is 10.5" long from the lip of the collar where it is inserted to the tip. The minimum oil mark is at 10", the maximum oil mark is at 9.5".

Thank you for the information. It is exactly what I needed.

I recently lost the engine oil dipstick for my Case 1194, and I can't find one anywhere. Any ideas where one can be found?

(quoted from post at 09:09:41 01/18/23) fred goodrich 6 posts previous says he has a used one.

DWF, he has replied to an older post, that reply by Fred was made in 2018. Not saying that there is not a possibility that he may have another one.

To the new poster hans welcome to YT! I saw your post and tried to look up the dipstick to get you a number from the CNHI online parts book. Unfortunately, I do not see it shown or listed there. I looked at the 2 diagrams associated with the engine block and it is not shown or at least that I could see. Please go ahead and look yourself maybe if you spend more time you will find it hidden somewhere, see link. I do not know if that model also has a David Brown matching model or not. If it did it would be interesting to look at the parts book for that tractor to see if it shows one.

So I did figure out the part number. It is K206286. But every where I looked it says no longer available. I looked at some used tractor parts places without success. I just thought maybe someone knew where one is.

So I found a part number that replaced part#K206286, that seems to be available from various places. Part# is K912773. I ordered one and will let you all know if it's right.
