I keep the CX-100 hooked to the disc mower all summer and hook and unhook the mounted rotary rake and baler to the Farmall 65. I am getting a 3rd. tractor so everything can stay hooked to an implement. I have spotted a hydro 70 diesel with 4200 hours, tires look about 50 percent. Seems like that would be the ultimate tractor on a baler but it is almost a 50 yr. old tractor. Other one I am considering is a new Massey 2607H. 0 hours. 2 yr. warranty. Massey has roll bar but I would have to add canopy. IH I would have to build roll bar and canopy which I am capable of doing. Price is no concern for me I just want the one that would be best in my situation. What do you think?

That was my first thought when he said price was no concern. Best thing I ever did was upgrade my two main tractors to new ones with factory cabs with heat and air.

Thing is I think I would really like a hydro on the baler. I just don't like a cab on a baler with a chute. I can't hear the guys on the rack. Don't like the dust on the glass. Be pretty hard to get a cab for the hydro 70 with an AC that works. Don't need heat. Just making hay while the sun shines.

I agree with your thinking. While pulling an operating machine I liked the ability to hear what was going on as well as being able to see.

The new tractors sure are nice but there is a lot more to go wrong, at least electrically. But I will say, our local Massey dealer has no trouble getting rid of the brand new ones so they must be pretty good units. Never driven one myself tho. I just know I like our old 60s and 70s tractors a lot better than the 00s.

Why build a roll bar and canopy and have everyone tell you that you are going to kill yourself and your entire family plus half the neighborhood? Get a brand new rops rated roll bar and canopy that looks OEM from iron bull Manufacturing.

Where do you find a Massy dealer. Don't think any around here any more. At least you never hear of any new Massey equipment.
