After a busy year, I have time to edit all the things that were recorded throughout the season. Well, most. I think there's a few minutes of video of my NH Stackliner side unloading. Otherwise there aren't any haying videos from this year. There will be some IH & Gehl videos coming out through the winter months. And whatever other random stuff I can put together. There are several videos of deer & a few of the Sandhill cranes. A couple weather ones to celebrate the fact we stayed out of drought status for most of the growing season. There will be several from the thresheree in Richfield, Wi. I tried to get more steam this year. May also be posting something of a safety video, so as to advise people to keep aware of their surroundings when attending such events. The good news there is, nobody got so much as a scratch. That was a relief!

It took me several tries with the new editing program to get the video done to where it looks right. My first attempt was half a dumpster fire. After several tries, the results were good enough to post. Hence the title.

Enjoy!

Do you play accordion? I like your background music. I learned a bit of piano accordion as a teenager, then lost the accordion to repossession. Now I'm at it again and having music fun.

I played with my mom's years ago. It's not the easiest to get the hang of, but I did like the challenge. It's still at the house here & at some point it will go in for a servicing. Then I'll have to try it out. Accordion music is a favorite of mine. There wasn't a wedding reception on my mom's side of the family that didn't have 50/50 polka & '50s rock 'n' roll played at it. It's also good milking parlor music. To top it all off, my favorite polkas are nearing the century mark. There were so many different sounds that represented the old world European countries to set them all apart. A polka from Germany does not sound the same as one from Austria. One from Lithuania does not sound like one from Poland. It's the same basic sound, yes, but all with different flavors. And, as with everything.... it seems to have gotten lost somewhere in time.

The videos I'll be posting will have a mix of older polkas & some early country. I must be careful though. I can get git hard with a copyright strike & get my channel suspended. Right now, the video has a copyright claim. There's a message that says, The Content ID claim on your video doesn't affect your channel. This is not a copyright strike. Far as I can tell, it means whoever owns the rights to that song can monetize my video & I do not get into trouble posting it. However, those of who that monetize their channel would be unable to do so with a song like that in it. So, with me it's a non-issue. Just have to be careful & stay away from pop music from any point in recorded history.

Thank you. Very interesting. You mentioned servicing. Do you have one or more servicing businesses around? Where are they located? Our local music store has an accordion with sticking piano keys that they asked me to try to fix. Haven't gotten to any serious work on it since I'm not sure what to do.

I would have to ask. My mom's accordion teacher is actually still alive, when last I heard. She sent us a card after my mom passed almost two years ago. Otherwise, it will be internet searching time. I'm going to be fussy though. I've heard it doesn't take much to ruin one & I know mom's was worth a lot of money 20 years ago when she had it looked at. If I hear of something in the mean time, I'll let you know.

Yes sir, it is! I had just installed a new photo editing program & was playing with the sky replacement feature. That one turned out pretty neat & became my favorite. The one with the palm trees, space shuttle & giraffe.... not so much. There are a few others that turned out good. When there's some time, I'll shrink those files & post them. It seems the site doesn't like to upload a 30MB+ file. :v)
